The traditional Pacific Islander diet includes large quantities of coconut, and those who still follow this diet have a low incidence of heart disease or overweight. Nutiva’s Organic Extra-Virgin Coconut Oil is processed immediately upon harvesting fresh tropical coconuts in the Philippines. Unlike many organic coconut oil brands that have either a slightly tangy and sour, very bland, or very strong flavor, we use a process that prevents fermentation and helps to retain the naturally smooth and sweet flavor of this highly nutritious food.

Nutiva Coconut Oil is always certified organic and non-GMO. We cold-press the coconut oil so that it retains its vital nutrients and delicate fats. We never bleach, refine or add chemicals. What you get is simply the purest white, creamy fresh coco-nutty flavor and aroma of unrefined, chemical free coconuts. Store at room temperature. Nutiva’s Organic Extra-Virgin Coconut Oil will liquefy at 76 degrees Fahrenheit, and will return to solid at lower temperatures. It’s safe and healthy to use in either state.

Lauric acid is a rare medium-chain fatty acid found in human breast milk.
