Sure, our Fantastic Anti-Plastic Beach Toys were created with
Mother Nature in mind. But, as a mom-run company, we certainly didn’t
forget about mothers. That’s why our set includes a bucket with built-in
handles that won’t break off (usually the first thing to go, in our
experience). A sifting lid with geometric cut-outs for learning shapes.
Two cups for sand and water play. And one tough, virtually
indestructible shovel. It’s all scaled for toddler-size hands and fits
easily inside the bucket for carrying to the beach. In the off-season,
the toys are great for the bathtub—plus the bucket doubles as a
container for crayons and toys.
We’re proud to say that our beach toys are made in the USA, not
China. And they’re unlike any other beach toys in the world. Though just
as tough as regular plastic, they’re made with Mirel™ bioplastic from
corn. That means no BPA, phthalates, or PVC. And if they get
accidentally left on the beach and washed out to sea, they’ll completely
biodegrade in 2-3 years (same results in fresh water, compost, or
buried in soil).
Regular, petroleum-based plastic takes around 500 years to break
down—and even then, it just breaks into tiny bits that get ingested by
marine animals. Call us crazy, but at Zoë b, we believe beach toys are
for playing—not killing thousands of birds and sea turtles. Why not buy
