Ching Hai Jade Gemstone Necklace

Hazelwood has the medicinal property of neutralizing the body's acidity.  It is an ancient remedy first used by aboriginal people.  It has been used to relieve or prevent ailments such as acid reflux, skin problems, and constipation.  

Hazelwood necklaces are made from the branches of a hazelwood tree alternated with glass and/or gemstone beads for ornamentation. They are 100% natural and handmade - from the gathering of the wood to the stringing of the beads.  No chemicals of any kind (pesticides, fertilizers, etc.) are used to grow the hazelwood trees.  

Directions for Use:  

In order to receive a therapeutic benefit the necklace must be worn next to the skin as much as possible.   It is also recommended to wear the necklace while bathing because keeping the hazelwood moist aids the body in absorbing the beneficial properties of the Hazelwood.  However, you should not wear the hazelwood in swimming pools -- chlorine can alter the effectiveness of the wood. 

Life Span of a Hazelwood Necklace: 

The life span of the necklace will depend on the level of acidity of the body. In general, a necklace will maintain its medicinal benefits for 6 –12 months. Higher acidity may mean a shorter lifespan of the necklace.  A necklace has lost effectiveness when the ends of the wood beads darken and/or symptoms return.

Don't be alarmed if/when the bark comes off the hazelwood beads - the wood beads will change over time.

Product Safety: 

The string used for the necklaces is made from a metal thread covered in soft Nylon.  It was carefully selected for the following reasons: maximum resistance to abrasion; more resistance against nicks, cuts, and scrapes; longer lasting; and minimum water absorption.

All of the metal used to fasten the clasp and the clasp itself is sterling silver (a lead free metal).
